How We Started
Since 1977, our company has had the mission of providing unique and leading-edge application programming for companies in New England. By using popular accounting systems like QuickBooks, Great Plains, SBT and others as a base, we have added functionality to help your salespeople succeed. Our backgrounds in business administration means you’ll be talking to a programmer who understands how businesses operate.
We have evolved into a full solution reseller, adding value by providing desktop, server, infrastructure, security and other IT functions for companies. We have also become a leader in the implementation of accounting packages in New England.
In order to learn and provide solutions in new technologies, it takes time, effort and dedication, meaning that we know what it takes to develop systems that work. By working with a certified team, you’ll get comfort in knowing that your products will receive the highest level of support direct from the manufacturer.
Training and innovation within our company keeps all employees up-to-date on the latest in the industry. We purchase and utilize the majority of the software and hardware we sell in our own office. We make sure the products, service packs and updates will work for you by performing the testing on our systems first. We spend time at various seminars and conventions to keep up with current trends.
General Business Systems (GBS)
General Business Systems (GBS) is the core of our product brand. By adding customer center information screens for viewing and changing orders over the web, we can produce views specific to your company. We can add photos, flash, reporting and RMA systems, all operating over a web browser. Some call this technique “cloud computing,” but we have been producing this kind of solution since 1996. If you’re looking for greater access to your accounting data, our GBS Software is the template you need for success.
Our projects work in Microsoft .NET, a proven technology that works with Microsoft Server Software. We can also produce projects for PHP and Java to suit your needs.
J. Victor Nahigian’s background in computers began at a young age, and by high school he had already written several books and won national and regional programming contests. He started his own business in 1974 at the age of 16 and, without an accounting degree, he wrote the software program General Business Systems (GBS) with virtually the same function as QuickBooks accounting software. With focus on sales and support, GBS has made Systems Analysis a leading custom provider of solutions for Quickbooks Enterprise.
As An Instructor
Through the 1980s, Nahigian was a leading instructor for Northeastern University and pioneered the Continuing Education Classes in Computer Sciences. Nahigian also was the one of the first coaches in a program started by Babson College over 15 years ago, called “Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork.” Victor is a popular instructor at “Scaling New Heights” and the Intuit summit.
Degrees and Certification
At Babson College, Nahigian dual majored in Business Management Technology and Society with a minor in Accounting. There, he learned the importance of delegating and satisfying clients and employees. Nahigian and his company was a pioneer in providing computer systems to first-time computer users throughout the 1980s, and he is active with Babson College in evaluating and grading business plans for its graduate programs. Victor holds certifications with every major software vendor dating back to 1986.
